Because I'm Very Visual?
There's an article in the Wall Street Journal today about faceblindness. The online journal links to a test you can take to determine how well you do with remembering faces (and names and objects).

I hate these tests. I had to do a few of them for some psychology classes and they always give me a headache. I think every year my scores get lower and lower.
So basically, you're pretty average in terms of memorization skills while I'm awesome at some and suck at others.
Right. But when I did my first memory test I had one of the highest scores in the class. However, on that test, they tested memory for faces, but the faces had hair and you could tell which were male and which were female. I actually created a memory test just this year for an experimental psychology class using random words in red and blue. I scored pretty high on that one too.
Well, I'm totally average on faces and glasses, but i scored 100% on the names. Boo-ya. I'm a veritable virtuoso of verbality.
