Is there a context to this one?

Yes. The context is "On What to Tell a Shidduch." See, we were talking about what I should tell someone I want to set her up with about her and she goes, "oh, tell him I like ice cream." It's funny.

Okay, first, what's a Shidduchim?

By the way, got a non-offensive Jewish joke for you. Well, it's non-offensive but not exactly clean.

Anyways, this dates back to the mid-80s. Two Jewish guys hear about a new virus called Herpes. So both go into a panic and head over to the local library to learn everything they can about the virus.

An hour later, one of them finds the other. He has a huge smile on his face.

"What are you smiling about?"

"The herpes. We have nothing to worry about."

"Huh?"

"Yeah, it says here that only Gentiles get it."

You know the "matchmaker" in Fiddler on the Roof? A matchmaker is called a Shadchan. A match is a shidduch. You can also use shidduch to refer to the person with whom you've been set up. Shidduchim is just plural for that.
And that was your daily lesson of Yiddish. :)

And your joke's funny. :)
