I Still Lost with 332 Points

I scored 123 points in Scrabble with the word "equator." That's right, folks, I am a genius. Q on the triple letter score, the whole word on a double word score, and using every single letter I had on my rack equals 123 points. I'm also a nerd.

Your Advice was Good, But Jan's...

So far today, I've gotten over 600 hits from people searching for Creed's blog. Sorry for confusing you, I just thought it was hilarious enough to title a post that even though it had nothing to do with The Offive, which is what we call The Office ever since "Traveling Salesmen" (Harvey: You ruined a funny joke, you. Get out of my offive.). Anyway, my point is to direct you to Creed's REAL blog: Creed Thoughts. And in case you haven't seen it yet, here's Dwight's blog: Schrute-Space. Feel free to post any other awesome Offive-related blogs in the comments section.

Knock, Knock! Who's There? Keith. Keith Who? Keith Me, My Thweet Preenth.

There's always the possibility that my children will not inherit my awesome sense of humor. But I like planning for the best, so I have come up with a plan. I can have my first kid on 07-08-09. Get it? Because 7 ate 9! Which is the punchline of the greatest joke ever.
You must be asking, "are you sure that's the greatest joke ever, Dina, that seems a bit much?" And to you I respond, "yes. Yes indeed." It has simplicity, brilliance, and was there under your nose the whole time.
Just imagine the possibilities! Someone will ask, "so, when's your birthday?" and my child will respond, "why was six afraid of seven?" Naturally, the someone will be confused and say, "pardon?" Ever calm, my child will repeat "why was six afraid of seven?" Awkwardly, the someone will offer "because seven ate nine?" and my child will shout "THAT'S MY BIRTHDAY."
To quote a friend, "Dina's plan proves her to be on par with Newton in brainial capacity."

Haha, I Forgot a Title

I was driving home one day when 107.1 The Peak started playing a Jack Johnson song I knew the words to, so I naturally sang along. "They say every man needs protection. They say every man must fall..." There was just one thing off. Sometimes I hear a song I hadn't heard in a long time and sing along gingerly, unsure about the words I'm saying and when the tune shifts. If I had known this song, I certainly didn't know it well since it sounded unfamiliar, but surprisingly, I knew all the words. I sat there singing and driving and questioning my sanity. About 1.6 minutes in, I finally realized that I know the words because it's Dylan/The Band. I happen to like Jack Johnson, but I thought his version was too chilled for the song. Another time while driving to or from work, I think what I heard was Trevor Hall's "Life is a Carnival" or Death Cab for Cutie's "Rocking Chair." In other words, I knew something was up.
You see, there is a new album called Endless Highway: Music of The Band and it includes covers by The Allman Brothers, Gov't Mule, Guster, Jakob Dylan, etc. I pre-ordered mine from Best Buy. Another thing about this album is that you can stream it here and that even though my copy hasn't arrived yet, I listened to it online and realized that--dum da dum--the LIVE version of The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down was recorded on March 14, 2006 at the Beacon with me in attendance. That's right. Not only is The Allman Brothers Band amazing, but so am I.
